Scents by the Bay

I recently went to Scents by the Bay to have a team building event with my coworkers and I can say we had an absolute blast! Tarah was incredible knowledgeable, patient, kind and funny, and guided us through the process of creating our own personal scent - which we got to take home!! I honestly can’t wait to do this again and will recommend this experience to everyone I know. Plus, a scent blending experience makes an amazing gift! Thank you, Tarah, and Scents by the Bay, for providing us a wonderful and unforgettable experience. You’ll be seeing us again!

I recently did the candle making experience here and it was absolutely great! There were so many scents to work with, and Tara helped us learn about how to combine them to make a great smelling candle. Highly recommend!

Wow, that’s really all we can say! We came here to make custom scents for our wedding. When we waked in, Marz got us seated and walked us through the basic ideas of what we were about to do. Then, we got started. Not gonna lie, the amount of scents was intimidating at first! Just dig in and get started. You’ll pick it up quickly. The help that Marz did while we were there was INCREDIBLE. Like. Seriously insane. Marz would be able to smell a mix of what we’d put together and offer advice on what to add - or for the ones where we mixed it but forgot how many drops of what we used, was able to break it down JUST BY THE SMELL. It was a crazy fun experience. We came out with two wonderful smelling fragrances, we’re so excited to wear. This is an awesome gem and so worth stopping by.

I did a scent blending class with Tarah as a team building exercise with my company and I loved every second of it. Tarah was absolutely amazing, patient, kind, and made the entire process seamless. She explained the methods in which she blends and creates scents super seamlessly, and in a way that anyone could easily understand. There were vials, on vials, on vials of scents to sniff and allowed us to play around with any combination we wanted. She also guided us through what scents to add to our blends to balance everything out to our liking. At the end, she bottled our scents for us, allowed us to name them, and then documented them to keep on file so when you go back she can pull it up to blend more! We visited Scents By The Bay for a team event, and were blown away by Tarah's incredible service and deep knowledge of her craft. We started with a breakdown of the basics of perfumery and then had time to explore all the different scents available. Tarah then expertly guided us through the blending process and we each took home a bottle of our own making! The process was so fun, easy to understand, and foolproof for newbies and we each left with a scent that we love! Thank you so much Tarah, we can't wait to come back!
