Customer Reviews
The staff is always professional & I have never been disappointed!! Even when I have a difficult design or request, they go out of their way to make sure I get what I want. They’ve been very patient, especially with my aunt who has special needs & my grandmother. Plus, it’s a woman-owned, black-owned, local business. I drive across DC to see them & get exceptional service every time!
I live around the corner from this shop and I will be going elsewhere from now on. I’ve only been there twice, and both times my nails were not what I asked for and we’re messed up before I left the shop. I asked for gel, both times, and both times I was given regular polish that smeared before I left… I figured the first time back in May was a fluke, but it just happened again today. I was hoping it was just a hiccup, but the technician didn’t even seem interested in fixing the issue and was blaming me for the mistake. I am also in service and hospitality, if I treated my guests this way I’d be out of a job. I will not be returning.
I went to get a french manicure done and the service was very poor. There were bubbles underneath the paint job, the nails were not filed correctly and was bumpy and the design was uneven. On top of that they charged me $113 for a set of builder gel nails. See picture below. The original service took 2 and a half hours long. Again see the picture below 💀 I complained and they let me come back to get it fixed but only go to Kiya not the other nail techs. In the future I would not return if you want your moneys worth.
The first time I went I got a gel manicure. The asian lady cut my nails without asking me, and was watching TV on her phone and kept pausing to intensely watch her show. Felt like they didnt even care to have my service, which was $50. The second time I went was on mothers day ,I got a pedicure. I choose the same polish from last time to match my hands. I was charged $77, $27 dollars more than last time. then the lady said "we are giving you a mothers day discount!" but I still paid $77, not clear what the discount was but ok. My nails look fine but the customer service needs work. Very nonchalant.
Sassy’s new nail techs are good and know how to shape. The previous ones I went to… not so much. Lala is my go-to person. She does a great job and stays on top of the trends. The customer service has always been a plus.
