Salternative Spa

The spa is very bare bones for a place that has been there for 10 yrs. It doesn't feel like a pampered spa experience that you usually expect from such a place. For example, they do not provide basic things like shampoo and hair dryers. It would be useful to have more instructions for someone who does floatation for the first time. The water got into my eyes and stung so much, I had to stop midway to shower and get back. It didn't feel like complete sensory deprivation as the pod was in a room that wasn't soundproof and I couldn't close the pod completely because of overheating. The sauna was similarly pretty basic that you'd find at a gym. They schedule appointments very close so there's a wait time for each appointment. For Christmas this year my wife Rebecca received a massage and salt room combo. She has suffered from asthma for years and loved both the massage and salt room so much we are continuing with a three month membership. We cannot recommend Salternative enough! She is now telling friends all about it, but also wanted to post here!

I recently found Salternative and have tried the sauna and had a 60 minute massage with Amber. I've absolutely loved my experience with Salternative so far and looking forward to future visits!

Very relaxing place! You could feel it right when you come in. All the staff is very nice, friendly and accommodating. The place is very clean, they offer slippers when you come in so everything helps stay clean especially in the winter. I used the float tank and the salt cave. Both were very nice to use and clean. I felt very relaxed leaving there and will come back!

Owner blamed the customer for bad experience My friend and I were hoping to enjoy facials to celebrate our birthdays and relax after a stressful period. Two facials were booked with separate credit cards. Imagine our surprise when we arrived and were ushered into the same small room with facial stations very close together. I stated that this was not what we had booked. I was escorted from the room into waiting area, reassuring me this would be taken care of. After waiting 20+ minutes, I asked if there was a problem with my new room. I was offered a small 15% discount. After another 25 minutes, I spoke with the owner via phone and was told no additional accommodations could be offered. After a 45 minute delay total, I was escorted to a room that did not have all the equipment necessary to
