Salon Rive Gauche

I have been seeing Theresa for years for haircuts and always felt comfortable putting myself in her hands- literally and figuratively. She is an artist and her cuts are terrific - from longer styles to short layered cuts. She is also a master colorist. I recently brought in my teenage son, who had been asking to get his darker hair bleached on top, and I was completely at a loss about how to accomplish it at home. Theresa listened and was lovely enough to lighten some sections for him- and he loved the result. He has gotten tons of compliments, and I got parental credibility points for figuring out how to deliver what he was asking for with this change. I have referred friends to Theresa over the years without hesitation- and will keep doing so- now for color as well!

Highly recommend! Ive been having Sandra cut/highlight my hair for at least 5 years and she is the best. Her highlighting skill and technique is superb. My hair looks authentic and just like it did when I was a child. Plus she is just a nice person - fun to talk to. The salon vibe is fun, too - her colleagues are great and cheerful. I always feel beautiful and happy when I leave!

Sandra and Theresa are absolutely FANTASTIC! The wonderful shampoo artists made me feel super pampered and as if I was at a beautiful spa! My hair has not looked this healthy in a long time!

I’ve now had my hair done twice by Zak, and I can honestly say I’ve finally found my DC hair colorist. He’s an artist with color, blending it perfectly every time. As an aspirational blonde, it can be tough to find the right person, but Zak is definitely that person! He brings so much energy, passion, and love to his work, and it’s a true joy to spend a few hours with him while being pampered.

Both of my children and I go to Zak because he is the best stylist in DC, hands down. He transformed my hair color from something that was just “fine” to something that brings constant compliments. He knew what would be flattering to my face shape and skin tone and was able to advise me. He’s super talented, definitely recommend.
