If you are considering this place, be aware that you might be charged w extra cost especially woman’s hair cut. I got a haircut and was unexpectedly charged a blowout fee as well without any communication. None of the salons I’ve been to operate that way—typically, they blow-dry the hair after the cut to check the style and make final trims. I appreciated the hairdresser’s careful work and was considering leaving an extra tip, but the style wasn’t exactly what I wanted, and the total cost being double was discouraging.

Really lovely mom and pop shop. They speak Cantonese and English; friendly and conversational! I got my hair cut by the pop and he was very detail oriented. I cut off a lot of hair and he made sure all of it was even and the style I wanted Wash, cut, blow dry was $45 plus tip.

Ben (also my name) cuts perfect every time. Wife is ALWAYS pleased. *Updated: Cuts are $15. Drop a $3 tip. It's literally a mom and pop place. Husband a wife run the salon and they have a little nail booth rented out in the front of the store. Park up the hill two blocks on Kirkham and you don't have to deal w/ meters.

I walked in while 2 employees were free. I asked if they had any openings for hair color today and they asked what I wanted. I said I wanted to lighten or turn a portion of my hair blonde and they quickly said they did not know how to do that. I tried to clarify its just a simple lighten, no highlights and they kept brushing me off saying they don't know how. Interesting as it says "hair color" right in their front sign.
