Salee's African Hair Braiding

Really great shop. The Braiders are sooo fast. I got box braids that took 4 hours.. they were $190. Just a warning though..they braid VERY tight.

So 1/11 I went to get jumbo goddess braids in a bun.......HORRIBLE! I paid $120 for 6 cornrows which was fine. I told her I didn't want any gel in my hair and I would buy edge control. Then she told me they always use gel and I would sit under the dryer for the gel to dry. She also said they have done it before on natural hair and it was fine. It looked nothing like the picture I showed them and I had to help put the bun up. I wore the style for 1 day. I called Sallie to let her know how disappointed I was and she said I could come back. I got box braids on the 1/18 (today) and had to pay $160 and buy my own hair $25........then they didn't do the size I asked for and they start the braids like cornrows. Smh I wasted $305! The service was great i was in and out in under 4 hrs. However the braids were so tight they pulled out a lot of my hair around my edges and on the sides where my hair is a little more thin. I had to take a lot of them out to keep my hair from breaking off and i had to wear the braids down so no one can tell. I woke up multiple times with twists on my pillow that had come out with my hair attached to it. My advice if you have thin hair GET CORNROWS! Its been almost 3 weeks and im still getting compliments on my braids so they look great but just be weary of the style you choose if you have thin hair bc the braids will most definitely pull it out or cause it to break. 🤦🏾‍♀️ i will definitely be returning but i will also choose a style not so hard on my edges!

I'm giving one star, but I wish they had the option to give 0 stars or negative. My girlfriend went to this place and paid $220 to get braids, and she got out of the place crying because of the awfully job they did. In top of that when she complained about it, they were yelling at her mistreating her because of something they did. The level of unprofessionalism displaced by Salee's African Hair Braiding is by far the worse that I ever seen in my life. Now we will have to pay again to get her hair done "after paying you all $220. Absolutely awfully! And this company should be ashamed to give this type of customer service! You all please save yourself the headache and don't go near this place!

My daughter and I got our hair braided and they were fast! I got box braids and my daughter got cornrows and they turned out beautifully. They are very nice and professional we will be back. Thanks so much ladies we love our hair!
