Red Sun Nails

I absolutely love this nail salon! I get dipping powder every time, and they nail it (literally) on every visit. The attention to detail is unmatched….my nails always come out flawless, shiny, and perfectly shaped. I recently got cat eyes polish and the cat eye effect is magnetic and stunning. The service is phenomenal, friendly, professional, and consistent. They take their time, make sure you’re comfortable, and the atmosphere is always clean and relaxing. I never feel rushed, and I always leave obsessed with my nails.

I went in for a manicure. The nail tech cleaned my nails well, but their regular nail polish quality is very poor. During application I noticed the polish was extremely light, I asked if it was old, she said it was full... not quite answering my question. Then when she was done I was told it was dry and good to go, I was careful till I got to my lodging, walking approximately 15min without any issues to ensure it completely dried from the wind. Then I went to reach for my keys and it was ruined. I went back a second time to get it fixed. The same nail tech was kind to fix them. This time I noticed how the polish was very streaky and the color was faint during application, the nail tech noticed also and applied 3 coats this time. This location is great. The quality of their polish is amazing. The customer service was great as well and they don’t rush they take their time. All in all I love them.

I have gotten three gel manicures and a gel pedicure here this year after changing salons because I moved. Compared to the many I’ve tried in DC, red sun nails offers good quality and service at a very reasonable price for being in downtown DC. Very nice employees, solid color selection, and my absolute must - the gel lasts for 2-3 weeks with minimal chips, lifting, or breaking. They take their time, apply multiple coats and let them cure, and do a good job shaping. Would recommend.

I have had two manicures here now, one gel and one dip, and both have been PHENOMENAL. Both times, the technicians worked so slowly and thoughtfully. My nails were shaped beautifully, and especially for the dip manicure I was impressed by how thin the dip was when all was complete. I also got two regular pedicures, and both times they were amazing. The technicians again were so slow, taking their time to clean up every single part of my feet. The foot and hand massages I got with both manicures and pedicures were so nice. Both my nail techs, Thu for the gel & Kim for the dip, were beyond kind and thoughtful.
