Red Nails

Great experience! I went to Red Nails with my daughter for a girls day. We had THE BEST pedicures from Nick & Emily ! They had us laughing, made great conversation with us, and had us feeling fresh and relaxed the whole time! We got the lavender spa pedicures with gel polish! Highly recommend! Their salon is always so clean and they make sure the tubs they use are clean and ready for use. Very busy nail salon with a lot of returning customers! I have been going to this place for 6 + years. Also theirs two coffee shops nearby if you wanna extra treat yourself 😉

I really hopeful that Red Nails would become my go-to nail shop in Cottage Grove, so I wouldn’t have to make trips into the city. My first three visits were pretty good, and I thought I had found my spot. However, my most recent experience was extremely disappointing. I got my nails done on Friday, and by Saturday night, one of them broke. I went back to get it fixed, but by Sunday morning, four more nails had broken. When I called to explain and schedule a repair, they assured me it wouldn’t be a problem and confirmed my appointment. When I arrived, I was told I’d have to wait 20 minutes because I didn’t have an appointment—despite the fact that I had made one! As a business owner myself, I believe no one should have to come back multiple times to fix nails that were done just days ago.

Just tried to get my thumb fixed and was refused because—wait for it—the original set wasn’t done there. As if nails are copyrighted. The woman scrambled for excuses like it was an Olympic sport, including the laughable “we don’t have your color.” Babe, it’s Bubble Bath. The most basic pink in existence. If you don’t stock that, what do you stock—regret and bad decisions? No worries though, I’ll gladly take my business somewhere that doesn’t treat a broken nail like a federal offense.

Zero customer service skills. The elderly lady with the short black hair stated publicly what are you here for ? I told her Mami and pedi as that was what I was booked for but planned to explain with a photo what I wanted. Then she said you’re here for a French tip , say that then. I told my mom not to come here but she insisted. I won’t be back !

I walked in and I was told there was just a couple minute wait for a pedicure and to pick out a color. I was seated right away in a pedicure chair with water in the tub that was scalding hot. The woman who was working on someone in the seat next to me noticed and acknowledged it but didn't do anything. So I awkwardly sat with my feet out of the tub for a while. Finally someone came to run cooler water so I could get started. I chose the $50 charcoal mud mask Pedi and regular polish since all the other ones I picked out were an additional $6 charge (for glitter polish) it had been about 2 months since my previous pedicure but my feet were not un-cared for. From the time I got there to when he finished it was 2.5 hours. The man was nice but continued to get up and apologize for needing a bre
