Puffer's Salon & Day Spa

I just called to make an appointment as a new customer for a partial highlight and a cut and was told that I would need to come in for a 'free' color consultation. I let them know that I was a good 40 mins away and was happy to send a picture in advance and the receptionist was dismissive saying they'd need to see my hair in advance (why?!?). It must be nice to have this level of clientele that you can turn someone away. I would welcome the opportunity for the owner to reach out to me, however I won't hold my breath. In this day and age, this is an archaic practice, and quite frankly....ridiculous. You wouldn't encounter this practice in a high end salon in Boston on NYC, so you sure shouldn't in the burbs of Springfield....

I've been coming to Puffer's to get my hair cut since around 1996. My hair is difficult to cut and Kristen does a great job and knows my personality and hair well. Services are not inexpensive, but I know for a fact that all employees receive regular continuing education and are top of the line, especially in services like color correction. I don't get makeup done myself, but I know one of their former employees now does makeup on celebrities and for fashion shows.

I was gifted the afternoon delight. The facial was INCREDIBLE, Nikki was great! The lunch was very tasty, once I got to the pedicure- while the atmosphere was very nice, I was a bit disappointed in the pedicure and manicure. The tech, Kira was very sweet but she did not do a very good job on the manicure. For example- she didn’t even let my hands soak in warm water- just immediately started cutting my cuticles- my hands were ultra dry, no lotion- no small massage- nothing.. literally just filed my nails down and painted them- it was NOT a spa Manicure what’s so ever. Also- the gel polish she put on way to thick and missed the edges and it’s uneven through the nails- will probably need to take off and get fixed… all in all, the staff was very nice- I just was pretty disappointed in the mani

First time ever having a massage. Steven did absolutely incredible. He made me comfortable. He was professional. I truly have never felt so relaxed in my entire life. I will be scheduling with Steven again. Amazing service!!!

I’ve had the pleasure of being a client of Puffer’s for 30+ years but recently moved out of the area. Over the years, I had the opportunity to experience many of their services and always found them to be top-notch. The stylists and estheticians are consistently professional, skilled, and attentive, and the front desk personable, and efficient. A special shout-out to Judy Puffer for creating such a beautiful and relaxing spa environment, and to Anne-one of the best hairstylists around - for helping me enjoy many years of great hair days. I’ll truly miss my frequent appointments at Puffers. It will be hard to find another salon that matches the level of care, professionalism, and overall experience they provide.
