Peoples Barber

Have been seeing Irish Paul for a little over a year now. Always a pleasure catching up with him and he always gives me an excellent scissor cut. Great stories and conversation every time—don’t turn down a nice glass of Irish Whiskey if offered (even at 9am with your coffee). The place is very dog friendly as well which I love. I let my hair grow out at the holidays while home bc I don’t trust anyone else to give me a good cut; just got another one from Paul today. He rinses me off and offers a shampoo and hot towel if I’d like every time. $65 isn’t bad for a haircut when you get this great level of care and experience! I look forward to every haircut and will continue coming back. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Jordan is the only person I trust with my hair. People’s Barber is alway a terrific shop, but after finding Jordan, I feel like I get a great cut that grows out incredibly well every single time. I often get busy with life and don’t schedule a haircut for far longer than I should, but it never looks messy and holds a great shape thanks to the skill afforded to me, here. As long as I live in the city, this will be my shop, and Jordan my barber.

Haircuts have vaired. Last one was a from a nice talented person, Jennie. One of the best. 1 star for the deeply frustrating, rude and all round unprofessional person on the till. I booked the appointment for 11am. I arrived 11:10am. They have a no later than 10 minutes cancelations policy. I said I don't have time and this is really frustrating. I have never been late before and never saw the 10 minutes policy previously. The short person with short blonde hair on the desk said 'well you're not going to give me any shit about it. You can wait or find somewhere else. She didn't say that I was to be charged the full price of the haircut when I left to look for somewhere else on short notice. She should not be doing a customer facing job.

My son has been going to the Polk location and Carlo for over 2 years. It is his go to place and barber. Carlo does a great job every single time, and gets him in and out! We also love the staff and vibe at this location. Definitely give the Polk location and Carlo a visit.

My go-to Barbershop in Nob Hill/Polk St. I keep coming back because I find their services consistently excellent and the staff warm and friendly. I particularly want to shout out “Irish Paul”, as a consistently inviting and excellent barber. And say hi to the store Husky Luca!
