Ian, Max and Nadirah are lovely people! While they are amazing at their artistic endeavors with hair, their welcoming warmth and hospitality made having my hair done there a very pleasant experience. Additionally, everyone has raved about my hair!

The stylists here are top notch !!! They always know what to do to bring your vision to reality. Everyone is sooooo meticulous. The Owner makes sure everyones hair is done w his expertise as he will check each time. They make your hair look like beautiful art! Shout out to Devon my stylist and Ian. They also make sure long appointments don’t feel long w plenty of snacks and coffee! This place is the best:)

It was tough being a lady with a limb difference that wanted to have long hair; deep-cleans and styling for fancy occasions was a challenge. But this is DC; we have access to the most talented stylists in the region. There's a solution for that! It's Devon at Navy Salon!~ From the get-go, Navy was so kind and understanding--as soon as I walked in the door, I knew the people there were great. Even though going in for only a wash is not a typical salon service, Devon and her team agreed to take me on, and I'm so thankful they did because my hair looks so much healthier! Devon herself is amazing; she takes the time to give me "hair education" and think about the best ways for me to take care of my hair. She really gets my needs. Max is the best. He first cut my hair nine years ago right after my wedding when I was ready for a shorter cut and nailed it- no triangle head, respected my volume, and gave me movement. Since then, I’ve moved an hour away and I keep trying other stylists for convenience, but he is still #1. Other stylists will ask me where I last got my haircut and tell me whoever did it is very talented. YES, he is, and if I still lived in downtown DC, I wouldn’t be in anyone else’s chair. An added benefit is that his movie recommendations never miss. All in all, this is an easy 5 stars. Highly, highly recommend.

Max is a no drama stylist. He listens and he styles. He knows exactly what to cut and what to leave as is. That is a high level of expertise. I was thrilled my cut and how he styled my hair for an event.
