Nails by Mimi

Mimi is hands down the best nail tech I have ever been to. I come in with a specific design in mind and she replicates it so well or makes it even better! I love what we come up with for holiday nails. Her team is the best as well. Congrats on the new salon Mimi! You deserve it :)

I’ve been to this nail salon a few times I’ve seen three different different nail techs The girls are really nice The pricing is too high for the mediocre job. A Couple times I’ve had to go back to get something fixed. I requested a hard gel in the pictures below as you can see it looks like it has been a week grown out. This is two days in And it already looks like I need a fill. They are very busy trying to get to the next client so they rush through the paint job. The sides are not painted evenly . every single time I go I spend over $100 and for $100. You should get Decent Nails. If you must go here, Jennifer is pretty good although don’t be the last appointment because by that time they’re usually tired and ready to go home hence mediocre job.

They have 8 spa chairs, which makes them great for appointments with friends and no worries about getting rushed off the chair to welcome the next customer. I was 15 minutes early for my appointment, but I was still welcomed in and given colors to choose from and champagne to unwind. Definitely what I needed after a long day of work. I recently visited this salon while staying in South OC, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. My friend and I had a 5:30 appointment, but it felt like they were rushing us in and out. The technician who did my nails seemed more focused on finishing up for the day than delivering quality work. I showed him a picture of the simple, natural squarish nails I wanted, but what I got looked nothing like that—thick, bubbly, and wide like press-ons. I tried to communicate my concerns, but it seemed like there was a misunderstanding, and I was left frustrated. When I called to express my concerns, the person on the phone was rude and suggested I should have asked for the manager while I was there. How was I supposed to know that? I had been going to this nail salon for exactly a year. I never felt welcomed as I never got anything expensive, just hard gel; so I never got the VIP treatment with drinks and chocolate that others mention (I’m also not white, not sure if that’s related or not). The first time Erica did my nails and I loved them, which is why I kept going back, plus she spoke English the whole time, which was a first in a nail salon. Then I had some flukes but decided to keep trying to get Erica (which never happened) but I did get to meet Jennifer who was amazing too! I guess at the end of January Jennifer left and a new lady did my nails. This new lady burned me with the nail grinder and laughed when I told her. Then burned me with the UV spot light and laughed again, I called Mimi and she told her some
