Mitch Barbershop Downtown San diego

I have been having some absolutely nightmare haircut experiences here in San Diego since I moved (July 2025). 4 different people, 3 different places. For some reason I can't comprehend, no one seems to understand the basic way I want my hair cut. And they've been straight up rude about it in some cases. Astivan (here at Mitch Barbershop) though, has been one of the best friggen barbers/hairstylists I've ever encountered. He more or less understood what i wanted right away but he also made sure to ask plenty of clarifying questions to ensure that he understood correctly.

Mitch Barbershop is under new management, and the difference truly shows. A lot of the older reviews floating around no longer reflect the current team or experience here. The barbershop has been refreshed with a new standard of professionalism, skill, and customer service. My barber, Mike, is the perfect example of that. His attention to detail and precision are unmatched—every fade, line-up, and cut is sharp, clean, and exactly as requested. He takes his time to make sure the result is flawless, and his professionalism creates a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. I have been going to Mike for about 1.5 years now. He is the best barber in and around downtown, and ever since he took over this place early this year, he has transformed how it runs. Everyone here is a master of their craft and will give you an excellent haircut 10 out of 10 times. Can't recommend this place enough.

Mike is the best barber I have ever had. Someone who cares ALOT about my hair I don’t trust too many people to cut my hair; every time I go to Mike I leave saying this is the best haircut yet. Highly recommend Mitch barbershop if you care about your haircuts and need a GREAT barber!!!!
