I always get my hair cut by Martha Lugo - she's really great! I'm a guy with mid-length, very curly hair and I find that there's a lot of variability in how good people are at cutting curly hair so that it still looks good when it's dry, or when it's windy, etc. A friend with curly hair (who's since moved out of town) recommended Martha to me as someone who's good at cutting curly hair, and she's always done a great job for me! I've been coming here for years now and had my most recent haircut a couple weeks ago. Martha is also very friendly, remembers details from things we'd talked about months earlier on the last visit, and always works with me to figure out how long I want it to be and how I want it styled. I'd definitely recommend her!

If I could give zero stars to the facialist I would. I had a very sub par experience. The facial was suppose to be for one hour and I don’t think I received that. There were no extractions provided with the facial which I found strange and the entire experience was rushed. She could not wait to get me out of there. She barged into the room at least three times as I was getting dressed which left me extremely annoyed. To boot I was also charged 25% gratuity to cover the cost of her supplies. Very, very rude. I will not be going back and I do not recommend.

Martha Lugo, formerly of About Faces, is a great hairstylist! I'm very fussy about who cuts my hair, and Martha is the only one on the west coast whom I allow. The other person in the last 25 years is Jean Anne Blanc, but she's in New York! 😉 Be sure to ask for your appointment with Martha, and tell her I sent you!
