Krisi was my masseuse and is excellent! From the warm welcome to put me at ease, to a curious thoughtful intake to understand my needs, and all the way through the massage itself, everything was outstanding. Krisi has an intuitive touch, that found knots I didn’t know I had, and applied just the right pressure - this was especially important to me as I needed help with an injury. In her communication, Krisi let me know what she was doing and why, and offered some great anatomy lessons along the way, blending consent forward cues and engaging conversation. I’ve only had one massage with Krisi so far, but it won’t be the last! Highly recommend!
I have been getting deep tissue massages for 20 years, and just like shoes and mental health therapists-one needs to find the right fit. I have found only a handful of memorable (in a good way) massage therapists and I can happily say Gabee is one of them. They definitely know the body and always apply exactly the right amount of pressure for my areas of tension and I always leave feeling soooo much better. The cherry on top is that Gabee has a lovely, sweet personality. I’m so grateful there’s a quality place to get deep tissue massages now in the Richmond District and Gabee is the best!!! 5 stars all around :)
I had an extremely disappointing experience with a practitioner named Nora. I went in for my first 60-minute acupuncture session after surgery, following my doctor’s recommendation. From the start, Nora was quite condescending. When I was just trying to explain why I was there, she questioned if I was skeptical or if I was a doctor, simply because I was curious about the process. During the session, she placed a few needles very quickly. When one of them caused me pain, I mentioned it, and instead of adjusting anything, she shrugged and walked away, saying she couldn’t treat me if I found it painful. She also kept accusing me of making faces, when I was just lying there trying to deal with the discomfort. I felt completely disrespected and unheard. It was honestly one of the most condesce
I had a very positive massage experience. James was recommended to me by another massage therapist. I went for a shoulder injury, and with his orthopedic knowledge, I left feeling no pain in my shoulder. Professional, caring, highly recommend.
I just had a 60 minute massage with Gabee. I’ve been working with a variety of PTs, yoga instructors, masseurs & masseuses, etc. over the past 5 or so years addressing issues in my shoulders and hips. Gabee quickly showed excellent understanding of my issues and did a great job tailoring the massage accordingly.
