Overall, my experience was far worse than I expected. Within the first 10–15 minutes of the massage, I was already ready to leave. She didn’t seem to know what she was doing, and the rest of the session never improved. It wasn’t completely terrible, but it definitely wasn’t good, and I wouldn’t go back or recommend this place to anyone. I tipped what I felt was appropriate, but the lady kept insisting on a higher tip and tried to tell me what she thought I should give. I told her my experience was not good, but it didn’t seem to matter.

I chose this place because I live just two blocks away, and I woke up incredibly sore after several days of heavier running and weight‑lifting. I arrived right when they opened on a Wednesday and was able to get a walk‑in appointment. The therapist spent roughly 45 minutes of my one‑hour session on my back. Her technique was solid, she used a nice range of strokes and tools (thumbs, fingers, knuckles, palms, forearm, elbow) and clearly had skill in that area. However, the leg and arm work felt noticeably weaker. It didn’t seem like she had a strong understanding of muscle attachment sites, which is something that should be well covered in training. I’ve been coming to Massage Escape Spa in Georgetown for the past five years, but unfortunately, my most recent visit was extremely disappointing and unlike anything I’ve experienced here before. I originally booked a massage for myself, then later called to adjust the appointment to include other family members. The spa confirmed over the phone that they could accommodate us. On the day of our appointment, I called ahead due to traffic to see if a slight adjustment in time was possible, and was told it would be fine. However, upon arrival, I was informed that only one person could be taken and that the services would have to be split into 30-minute increments. Very disappointing. The massage room was clean but felt stuffy. I went in for a deep tissue massage, but instead I was just rubbed with a ton of oil. It wasn’t relaxing or comfortable, and the whole session felt more like an amateur massage than anything professional. They didn’t work on any knots, and I didn’t feel any more relaxed afterward. Overall, not an experience I would recommend.

I had a great experience with a walk-in deep tissue massage, focusing on neck, shoulders, and back. The rooms and massage tables are very comfortable, and, while my therapist didn't speak English, the front staff communicated what I was asking for in terms of pressure and focus areas. I'd go back!
