Massachusetts School of Barbering

Please read it once if you are going, I am sure you don't want to have a bad exp else please avoid at any cost. Unprofessional behavior, poor customer service, and concerning discriminatory treatment I had an extremely disappointing experience at Massachusetts Barber School that I feel compelled to share. When I arrived, I was assigned to a student who seemed inexperienced, which I completely understood and respected. I took time to show him reference photos from the wall posters and explained verbally what I wanted. He appeared uncommunicative but I gave him the benefit of the doubt. The haircut took over 30 minutes just for a basic low fade, and he clearly struggled with how to approach the top. Arrived at 10AM. Registered by my own. The student Josh was just chatting with another person without attending to the customers. AT 10:15AM, a customer who was after me in the list got called first. At 10:25AM, I had to follow-up who would attend to me. The Instructor Sandra condescendingly told me that if I can't wait then I could go. As an instructor, she is not teaching the student barbers the proper professionalism. She was very unprofessional and rude unlike the other male instructors who instill discipline to the students. She thinks that a business will survive if customers are pushed away. Josh was rude in calling me up next. Yet, Sandra thinks that is an acceptable behavior. The school should think if it is in their best inters to keep an instructor like that or to have customer

The instructor (Ms. Sandra) is amazing. The students are also kind, warm and welcoming. I would suggest having pictures of what you like and do not like for reference and also keep in mind that this will take longer than a regular haircut. The place was neat and clean all tools were sanitized. I would suggest going waaaaay before closing and taking your time with explaining what type of cut you want.
