MAC Cosmetics

I visited the MAC store at Macy’s DC Downtown Metro Center today with a screenshot of a look I wanted to recreate. And the staff there, the amazing twin sisters, Chris and Cat, were incredible as they worked together so effortlessly to find the perfect matching shade for me. Even though the product in the screenshot looked like a gloss, I told them I preferred layering a clear gloss over a lipstick. They understood exactly what I wanted and found the perfect lipstick shade that matched the photo (I think it was "Can you tell?"). After trying that one on, I realized that I actually need something a touch more pink, and they recommended several great options—including Creme Cup, which I ended up buying. I was a walk-in client to have my face painted. While I waited to be serviced I observed a woman (Michelle) applying make-up to two women that looked great. Thank God! She was able to do my face for an event that I had scheduled for that evening the 26th of November. I so appreciate her knowledge on the products that were applied and her continued professionalism throughout the application. Great job!! Michelle you will get many referrals from me.

I do not really wear cosmetics, but with an upcoming move and a new position, I decided to schedule a consultation and get a more polished look. Joanna (sp?) was so helpful, walking me through different techniques and products, and answering my many basic questions.

My very best experience at the MAC counter located at Macy's Metro Center was with an artist name Victoria in 2011. Victoria was a gorgeous full-figured statueques woman with smooth dark chocolate skin. She wore a midnight blue irridescent blend on her own lids with a deep pink lip. I purchased just about everything she wore it looked just that good. I was a beautiful natural plain jane when I sat in her chair. After Victoria worked her magic I was a radiant, confident goddess capable of anything. I am so sad I cannot find her card. Plus she is no longer there. She knew how to enhance the beauty of dark-skinned women like no other. I had images of her being my beauty go-to at my wedding in the future and through life's greatest events. I feel like the Mac foundation I got from here is fake. I'm going to take it to another Mac location and see what they say. The big lady sold it to me she was there alone that day. It's heavy and doesn't last. I've never had Mac like this. Anyone else feel the same please comment Thanks
