I had a lovely experience. First time doing gel x and couldn’t resist a cat eye effect. Staff is very friendly and they did a great job with nail shape too! Highly recommend this salon

LUX SF is truly one of my favorite nail salons in the city. I love getting my GelX manicures done here and I really enjoy that it never takes super long for me to get my nails done (especially since GelX usually takes a while). They have always done a great job with bringing the nails designs I want to life. Highly recommend for the cutest sets!

I’m really disappointed with the French tip that I got tonight 02/19/26. I asked for a French tip and I wanted to explore some cat eye options. Immediately the man assigned to my nails, looked confused and about seven minutes later started on my nails. He only did one coat of the pink polish originally, and I had to ask him to do a second coat which is sort of the bare minimum when it comes to a French tip gel manicure. Then, as he was doing the white tip, he completely missed the corner on three of my nails, and I had to ask him to go back to each of those nails and complete the white line. He completed only two of them and then put my hand immediately into the heating machine. I didn’t get a chance to look at them before he started on my next hand. I’ve been coming to LUX SF for 3 months now and I love them! I get hard gel and it last me at least 4 weeks with no issues, no chipping or cracking (and I’m rough with my hands so this is HUGE for me). I could probably push it to 5 weeks, but I hate having a big growth gap. I’ve had a few different nail techs and they have all been wonderful! I can’t recommend this shop more! Also there’s a cute bar, Anina, next door which would be perfect for a bestie nail date and cheeky drink.

I came here for my engagement and bridal nails on separate occasions. I’m not someone who takes care of my nails regularly. Both times they knocked it out of the park and the I was complimented on my nails so much. Their gel nails last me almost 4 weeks without peeling off. Highly recommend this place for your most memorable occasions.
