Dominique started my locs in 2019 with two strand twists. She has always been upfront about her process and what to expect. My twists were fairly small but she assured me that they would double in size as my hair began to lock. Today, my locs are pencil sized which is what she promised. She always answered my questions with grace and professionalism. I love the fact that she takes the time to explain what is happening with my hair while it did its thing. About 2 years in, she switched over to interlocking because of my hair texture. I always received the best care and advice for maintaining my locs between services because I chose to see her 3 times per year. Today my locs are long, healthy and beautiful and it’s all because of her and her expertise.

I love Dominique and her services. Her location is easy to get to. She has been palm rolling my sons hair for a few months and his locs look better than before. Her knowledge of natural hair is wonderful. She is very professional and easy to schedule appointments with.

Dom is a wonderful person and will make you feel welcomed. She installed my two strand twist starter locs. My locs look great and I get lots of compliments. Only issue was I felt like I wasn't being heard. I told her I did not want small sister locs due to maintenance which forces me to have to return to a stylist because it's too much for me. I also felt a little pressured to interlock even though my hair was long enough that it was unnecessary. She repeatedly told me what would look better. I told her I wanted them the thickness of a sharpie. I left with locs smaller than a pencil. I stopped her multiple times while she was working because they were too small. She just told me they will swell later. It's a month later and they are still thin as hell and I can't maintain them by myself. W

I’ve been going to LOCosophy for over 2 years now and during that time my hair has grown and is healthier than its ever been. I have scalp issues and since I’ve gone to LOCosophy it has improved tremendously. Dominique is a wonderful stylist who truly cares about the health of my hair and providing recommendations and solutions for my hair needs. She is able to create any style that I ask for and she executes it in her own unique way.

Dominique is very, thorough, consistent and experienced with what she does. I moved here to Charlotte from Boone at the beginning of February; my dreads were in disrepair. Her service is incredibly quality and now my dreads are healthy and I’m feeling the shine. So grateful for her work.
