Lip Lab The Wharf

We had the cutest girls’ day out at Lip Lab and Ka’imoni truly made the entire experience! From the moment we sat down, she brought the sweetest energy. She was patient, knowledgeable, and such a hype woman while helping us create our custom lipstick and gloss shades. She made the process fun, personal, and honestly such a bonding moment for our group. I do want to note that it appeared the store manager (possibly the owner) overbooked appointments. Although we had a reservation and prepaid just like the other customers, our group was squeezed at one table, which made things feel a little cramped at times. After seeing on a friend's bio and page. I took heed to visit Lip Lab. I decided to do a mommy n me daughter date after school. In we went on Monday oct 20 into the lip lab! Such a great experience if you are reading this review, book your appointment now lol. There are limited seats and this location is booked months in advance. We were paired with Precious, she was perfect. Very attentive and patient. She listened and engaged with the colors and styles choices we were looking for. This was a very customized experience obviously, but having a friendly rep added to the experience. Definitely a lot of trial and error but overall fun. I plan to return to complete my collection of glosses and lipsticks. My overall rating is 5 stars. My daughter n i both got a lip gloss and lip balm

I had such a great experience at the Lip Lab at the Wharf in DC! From start to finish, everything was seamless. Booking online was super easy, and the whole process felt well organized and welcoming. It’s such a fun activity to do with your girls .. perfect for a little outing or celebration. Our color specialist, Jasmine, was amazing and incredibly knowledgeable. She took the time to explain everything, helped us find the perfect shades, and made the experience feel personalized and relaxed. Overall, it was a really memorable experience, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for something fun and different to do in DC!

4 stars ONLY because of Jasmine who made our experience simply AMAZING! She was patient, kind, knew what she was doing, and offered her expertise when needed! We finished in about 40 minutes with perfecting the color. However, the "manager" came 10 minutes before finishing and stated "you need to ring them up", the way she spoke to her employees was not a kind manner, she rushed our session for whatever reason, helping to make our lip gloss, but only helping to rush the experience because more customers arrived. Now why us, when there was another pair of consumers who were there before us (I can tell they were already in the process of trying on the color they made, I even commented on it), I'm not even sure why. This is an expensive experience and well worth it when its not rushed. Again,

My friend and I went here for my birthday. It was relaxing. The ladies were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I loved the experience. I made a lip balm and sheer lipstick.
