Lina African Hairbraiding

I have been coming to Lina African Braiding for about a year, and this was my fourth time getting the same style, Bora braids. Unfortunately, this visit was very disappointing. The price increased, but the quality of service got worse. The braids were bigger, not full, and my hair did not look complete, even though I paid more than before. What made it more frustrating is that my previous braids were taken down by the stylist, so they knew exactly what the style should look like. Despite that, the result was not the same or better. At the end of the service, I was told it was cash only, with no notice at the beginning. That should be communicated upfront. On top of that, there was a clear language barrier. My braids are really neat and nice. I was very lucky that they accepted walk-ins. I will say that I did want my braids to be a bit bigger which is why I asked for medium size parts and they gave me small not a big problem by the way. The problem was having to pay. They do not have a card reader so they sent me to the ATM which isn’t even an ATM. It’s a loan check cashing place that is right near them. The “ATM“ did not accept the card that I was wanting to use to get cash. So I went back into the salon to tell the owner that they weren’t accepting my card and that I can go to an actual ATM to go get the rest of the cash and I understand the precautions that they have to take because of thieves and people who like to scam, but the lady went totally ballistic on me, she started screaming at

PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!! I made an appointment days prior to service Lina expressed the price I agreed ! When I arrived early Saturday morning I asked for medium KNOTLESS braids. It was understood I wanted knotless along with the translation was KNOTLESS ! However once the lady got started on my hair I started to feel my hair and it had KNOTS 🪢!!! I expressed my concern and once I did the OWNER LINA DECIDED TO GET INDIGNANT WITH ME YELLED ATE TOLD ME I WAS BEING DRAMATIC!! Then asked me to leave … ( I go to church on sundays so I couldn’t afford to book someone else in such little time ) Moving forward I told her I wasn’t going anywhere until my hair was finished she proceeded to say that she would have the SAME lady finish my back and she would have someone else do my front !!!

Owner Leena is a liar and unprofessional she do not know how to separate business feelings from personal!! Disloyalty at an all time high my daughter and all of her children (3 girl ) have always supported her company paid whatever price she quoted and even tip every person that touched her and her kids head all for Leena to be mad that my daughter missed an appointment mind you she don’t live in Jax and drive there to be serviced so now every time they call she say she don’t have availability is that how you treat a long time loyal customer?! No worries we will take our hard earned money some where

None of them can braid, or can part and you will switch chairs at least 3 times. Omg if you go there you’re asking for your time to be waisted. Pic of what I asked for before she touched my head vs what I got. An other lady did try to do my hair because I really needed something. Came out decent. But still not what I wanted. I was there for 6 hours for 20 lg braids to my lower back
