Honestly, best haircut of my life. Within 10 minutes I could tell Brett was a noble, good, dude and he really helped me out when I needed it. I won't forget it brother.

I have long hair, usually styled in a man bun with short sides. Normally, I go to a salon; however, the result doesn't look manly enough because they struggle to create a perfectly straight and sharp (let alone faded) line. I decided to try cutting the sides at a barbershop. My best friend recommended this place. I called ahead and explained my situation. I received a fair warning that barbers don't typically handle long hair and that I should probably go to a salon, but they said if I really wanted, I could come in, and we could discuss it. I booked a 30-minute appointment with Brett. Unfortunately, it didn't go well. Nobody asked how I typically wear my hair, how I wanted it to look, or why I chose this barbershop instead of a salon. John is hands down the best barber in Lakeway and Austin! I’ve been going to him for five years, and even after moving all across Austin, I still make the hour-long trip to see him—he’s that good. His cuts are always consistent, his attention to detail is unmatched, and he takes the time to make sure everything is perfect. On top of that, he’s just a great guy—funny, kind, and always a pleasure to talk to. If you’re looking for a top-tier barber who truly cares about his craft and his clients, John is the one. Been coming here for years now, after recommendations from both my father and brother. I’ve heard great things about all the barbers here, but I’ve only ever gone to John Krason for a haircut. He’s always punctual, quick, efficient, and will clean you up nicely. Very reliable and will go into the details of his craft, if you ask him. He shows he cares about the cut and is willing to communicate with you in order to get you what you want. He’s easy to chat with about stuff and will ensure you have a pleasant experience. Brett was really rude! Period. No excuse for it. Didn't even attempt to have a conversation with me while chatting away to the other barbers. Asked me what I wanted at the start, rolled his eyes, acted huffy and then just totally ignored me for 30 minutes while watching the Olympics. Actually stopped cutting my hair at one point (without even apologizing) to text someone for a picture of some sort and laughed with his buddy's when received. Cut was fine but below average really, he didn't listen to what I asked for and messed my part up. Won't be going back. Only half attempt at being friendly was at tip time of course; I shouldn't have given anything but of course the lowest on screen was 20% and he was standing over me watching. Save your money and go somewhere friendly! Disappointing
