Laurence's African Hair Braiding

My sister had her hair done here and raved about the service. So I came in from out of town as a walk in and was blown away at how fast she cornrows and installed my crochet locks....OMG... I will have to come back and visit NYC and take a train to do it again!! Love my hair!!

Absolutely amazing you can walk in and they'll either sit you down so you can wait if they're busy or take you and start right away. Very generous and kind people, if you tell them you're tenderheaded or have any precautions that should be taken before they start they're very thoughtful and make sure they aren't hurting you. Also very fast with braiding, overall best braiding place I've been to in a while.

I love this place. I have been coming for over 4 years. They are very fair with the prices. They make sure you love your hair when you come. I love the fact that I never have to wait when I come. I call and ask when can I come and it’s always a great experience. One time she went out of her way to take me and we didn’t finish until 1:00am.

I’ve been here twice and i hated my experience the first time the lady was very rough and kept saying rude things after taking my hair out i realized my texture was ruined and i lost some hair i thought it was just because i let them wash it so i came again with my hair wash n dried already this experience was way worse the lady did not do any of my parts in the middle and got upset when i told her to fix it she started grabbing my head and said “oh i guess your never gonna leave” i ignored it now fast forward to when i took my braids out my hair is completely ruined my texture is gone all my ends are dead and i have spots in my hair as if she cut it. I understand they might not think it’s there fault but i’ve been getting my hair braided for years and i’ve never had an outcome like this a

I’ve been coming to this braid shop for years. I absolutely love these ladies. They are accommodating , friendly and very talented . I’m very tender headed and Rose does my hair with such care and skill
