I usually go to Angel for my nails but she was not there today so another tech did my new set. I showed an inspo pic and asked if she could do it and said she said yes. The actual acrylic set was very sloppy and shape uneven. I tried to show her there was still glue or product on my fingers and she said it’s not glue just wash my hands. I’m not a confrontational person and really don’t have the time to argue with techs about the quality of their work when all they say is that’s how it supposed to be or get attitudes cause they have to re do the job. Attached is the photo of what I wanted and then what I actually left with.
I have started coming to Kibana and got a chance to be seated with Angel . She is one of the best techs in there. She is fast , efficient and super precise with her work . I never have any issues with paint , longevity and she has an amazing energy. I normally get hard gel , pedicures and my eyebrows waxed. 10/10 each time I have gone to her. Book with angel ! Reading the other comments I would suggest to new comers to ask the price of everything they are getting before they sit in the chair to encounter no confusion and a great experience .
For the location and price it met my needs for a basic pedicure. I made an online appt., when I arrived, I was greeted and sat immediately. For a mid-day the salon was pretty empty with one customer receiving nail service. The technician was efficient, attentive and gentle. There were plenty of color options available for both basic and gel requests. There is a fee attached to service paid by card vs. cash, which thankfully I had available-though a rarity. I'd go back for my monthly pedicure.
Edit: 11 days of dip and they almost all were lifting and chipping. I went back to get them removed the gentleman who’s chair is in the back row removed them for me with care and was so kind. I gave Kibana 2 tries to get my dip powder nails right because it is close to my home. Unfortunately both times I have been so disappointed. The darker nails are the first time- very uneven, I asked for a coffin shape and she told me that is what I get since my nails are short (they were longer and she cut them too short before telling me this). The second time I was hopeful maybe try someone new or just a different day- I got the same girl and she did the same thing, uneven shaping, texture and just not good quality. The additional photos are of my nails less than 2 weeks later lifting and chipping.
Had such a bad experience here the other week, I ended up walking out the salon all together. I had been here once before last year and got a pretty decent fill in, so I wanted to try them out again since my usual nail tech is out the country. I walked in like mid friday morning asking for a fill in, and looking to do like a dark red french manicure with no designs. I was first sat with an older lady on the back row, where I let her know what I wanted and asked if she could make my stiletto nails super sharp which would require her spending quite a bit of time filing my nails. And while at first she was nice and polite, I knew after she spent only a couple of seconds filing each of my nails I wouldnt like my shape. Then she tried to apply a pink based bottom coat even though, again, I had
