June's Barber/ Beauty and Notary

I had my haircut maybe a week ago. I am very happy with the job the barber did. This place is very affordable and great atmosphere.

UPS recommended we go here for a notary because their person left for the day. I was surprised that you can receive nothing services. I sent my husband back up to get his hair cut, and they got him together with a nice medium fade. My 6 year old needed his hair cut the following week, and I was amazed. 4 years and dozens of barbers, but all of them made my son look like a soy. This boy came home with the best haircut he had ever received. The only downside is they don't do razor, but they do have the option of the electric razor. I love the sign inside that says, "If I am here, we are open. If I am not, we are closed. " In other words, they are always open because someone is always ready to provide you with multiple services. My sons and I have been coming to June's for over 10 years and they never disappoint. Plus, I always go to June if I ever need anything notarized. Every time anyone asks me to recommend a good barber, I always recommend June's!

Sweet, simple, to the point. I went to the one in Hubert once before because I tried to cut my own hair, terrible idea. Renee fixed it and it turned out amazing. The second go round, I went to a different barber shop, after seeing it for myself in the car it wasn't just right so I went to June's in Swansboro and June fixed it up just right! Notary was fast too, thanks!

Great if you want a quick and inexpensive buzz or trim. But we did not feel welcomed or wanted there. The barber seemed very grumpy and got annoyed when he asked my son a question and my son had a hard time hearing him over the vacuums. I agree with a few other reviews, the inside could use some attention, some of the stations were covered in clumps of hair and the equipment didn't seem to be sanitized and the lot is very pot hole-y. I noticed the barber went straight from the last customer to my son, no sweep no wipe down no barbercide. I was also a little upset that I was told cuts were $5 but was charged $10 due to my son's hair "being longer" and was told this after the fact. Again, if you have to be trimmed quick you can't beat the price. Cash only, but they do have an ATM if needed.
