Shy is the greatest. Incredibly chill, tailored experience, consistent top quality, very welcoming. I haven’t gone to any other barber, for the last 3 years Shy has been the one and only.

Walked-in on a late Friday afternoon with no reservations hoping to get a quick trim. After doing a quick look at the inside of the shop, my hopes were admittedly dashed because of the very professional setup and cleanliness within. There were also a couple of customers seated, getting their cuts and by looking at how well they looked, I knew we came to the right place. But would we be able to get a trim? As I began to glance upward, we were immediately greeted by Shy, a most friendly proprietor (she isn't shy, lol). Shy is hands-down the best barber I’ve found in the Bay area. After trying at least three other barbers, I now happily drive from San Francisco to Belmont every time just to see her. She really listens, asks good questions, and remembers the little details so every cut feels consistent and dialed-in. The atmosphere at Hansol is exactly what I want in a barbershop—friendly, professional, and relaxed, never rushed or chaotic. I always walk out feeling cleaned up, confident, and genuinely cared for. Great barber shop with top-tier barbers. Shy, and Andrew always deliver clean, consistent haircuts with sharp fades and lineups. Professional, welcoming vibe, and you never feel rushed. If you’re looking for a reliable barber shop, this is the place. Highly recommend.

I am happy to have found Shy by accident. Finding the right barber is no easy task but after my first visit I was satisfied. Shy is a wonderful conversationalist and a master in her craft. I learned new things about my hair and beard! I appreciate Shy for creating such a wonderful and welcoming place. This was my second visit and of course I’ll be back ✌🏽🪷
