I found Laurel after moving to Seattle from Boston. I am quite picky with hair dressers as I rarely get my hair cut so I need someone who will do a good job that will last a while. Laurel asks about your lifestyle and preferences in order to give you the best cut for your face and habits. She's very knowledgeable about her craft and can advise you on hair care and cuts that will not only suit your style and look, but also your lifestyle. Since going to her I receive compliments after every visit. I would highly recommend her services to anyone.

Laurel does such an amazing job curating the perfect cut and color. She is really knowledgeable about what types of cuts would look most flattering as well as which colors would really compliment your skin tone. I trust her completely and my hair always looks incredible and more importantly I always feel so confident. I get tons of compliments after every time I go see her. I also love the location and atmosphere of her studio. It's super fun but also cozy and inviting.

I've been coming to Laurel for the past 4 years and highly recommend her to anyone that is discerning about quality and skilled cuts. She has an impeccable sense of style, modern sensibilities about what will complement you, and attention to detail that is so hard to find. She puts a lot of thought into making sure she understands what you want but also the realities of how you are going to actually maintain your hair. I am personally very low maintenance but want good style and she delivers on both every time.

Laurel has been cutting my hair for 5 years or so, and it is always a great cut. It's a cut that just seems to grow out so well. She recently convinced me to color my hair and I am so pleased with the results.She does an amazing job with color and styling, and the conversations are always great!

I have only been coming to Hair Party for a few months now, but I'm really impressed by Laurel's work. My hair can definitely be a challenge -- I have long, curly hair with a fair amount of chemical damage from highlights over the years, and I'm going grey. In our first couple appointments that focused on color correction, Laurel carefully figured out how best to combine covering my greys while harmonizing with the colors that were already in my hair. It was a project, but she really nailed it and now I just go in every ~6 weeks to keep covering the greys. She also encouraged me to change up the type of hair cut I get, to great results! While I had been getting a cut that emphasized length and layers at a previous salon, Laurel suggested getting a softer shape that frames my face better.
