Rise Up Therapeutic Massage

Today I had my first appointment with Katy for Somatic Coaching and Bodywork. It was excellent! She very thoroughly explained her approach and processes and also did a very thorough "intake" of me as a new client. I was exceptionally comfortable with her warm yet vibrant style and at every stage of the conversation (intake) and process (sampling of the bodywork) I was comfortable and felt well-cared for and understood. I plan to schedule more somatic work and have already scheduled a 90min deep tissue massage as well!

Andrew and Katy are fantastic. It's hard to find a great massage therapist, and when you do, you stick with them. Not only are they great at massage, but they are so kind, caring and have that twinkle of joy that brightens one's day. I've been seeing Katy since 2019 and her schedule is normally booked, so when she brought Andrew on in June of 2020, although hesitant to test the waters of anyone else, I took a chance and scheduled with him. He is amazing! He has a great sense of pressure and is attentive to areas that need attention. As a woman, I feel very comfortable seeing him as well. Andrew is, hand down, the best massage therapist I have found in Seattle (alongside Katie, also at Rise Up). I am a personal trainer, long distance runner, and am generally pretty darn tough on my body.:) Finding Andrew has save me from injury, so I can continue to do the things I love. Andrew combines thoughtful listening, a deep knowledge of anatomy, and his own intuition to tailor a massage, each and every time, that is exactly what you need. I just had my first massage with Andrew and it was PERFECT. He is a very skilled and intuitive massage therapist. Even though I haven't had a massage in years, he made me feel right at home and completely comfortable in his care. I'd been having persistent headaches and neck pain for weeks, and after 90 minutes, I felt like a new woman! He was very respectful and in tune with helping me figure out some pain relief and had a warm, friendly and completely compassionate demeanor. I would recommend him to any of my friends, regardless of age, gender or body type or pain issues. The office was clean, bright and cozy. Katy (the owner) was also fantastic! I cannot say enough about how great this massage was!

Katy really got to the core of my back and neck stiffness! I feel much better.
