Hair Mechanix of Troy Haircuts for Men

First off their reservation system is a joke. Doing a father and son haircut the staff chop checked in one not the other. Then canceled my reservation. The girl doing my son's hair I showed her a picture the haircut did not turn out the same she actually didn't even trim up the top she just kind of cut his sides and left it be. Then Pam told me she could do a flat top she is the oldest clippers she had. They were very grinding there's nothing flat about my haircut but if I would have told her to cut more or make it flatter she would have just got the sides more ruining it even more. I get it though the flat top is one of the hardest haircuts for men it's very hard finding somebody that can do a good job. I've been going to the Waterford and southgate locations for years. Never have I been met with such ignorance and attitude. I came in and presented a picture. I was getting a cut because I was in a DV situation to hide from the person. I showed the lady the picture she said she'd do what she could with what I had. I said ok. She cuts the top I say it looks good. She starts the sides they should he a zero fade. She instead goes all the way up to the long part shaving it all the way down. Doing the cut I already had not anything close to the picture. I stopped and said no no a fade. She said yeah that's what I'm doing. It was not I got mad said shave it all since she had already messed it up. When leaving yes I was mad I have no hair now and was just trying to keep some of myself while going

Good atmosphere, I always grab a beer and watch the game while I wait. Cass does a great job with fades. Personable, and sweet ladies. All of them.

First of all, the women in the shop are absolutely amazing. The one who did my hair. I think her name is Dawn not only was she multitasking and doing 1000 things but she did a great job at my haircut and even though she was rushing around helping everyone else she still made me feel like I was her first priority. I love this place and I will never go anywhere else.

Pam did a great job for me!! She had some rude customers before me but she was extremely attentive and cared about the job she did. Will def be back to use Pam again!
