Gunston Head Spa

Friendly staff but mediocre experience for me at least. Purchase a partner massage and my friend enjoyed it. I had a Gentleman doing the service and he was rough, careless, and seemingly in a hurry. He never checked in on me (pressure, water temp, comfort) and neither did he explain what to expect. He wasn't able to communicate properly due to a language barrier which got very problematic when I said twice not to touch my leg due to a surgery I recently had to just then massage it anyhow until I jumped and interrupted. The massage pressure was too strong, the water too hot, I had to keep correcting him. My hair is very thick and long and he kept pulling it. He didn't pay attention to my reactions at all and I just wished for it to be done half way through. Then, as always at these places,

The staff at Gunston Head Spa are excellent at what they do. Very accommodating (they were able to take me in at a later time than I scheduled with no issues) and helpful before my appointment and once I got there the experience was amazing. I purchased the Royal Plus Treatment. My hair feels soft and clean and my skin has literally never been smoother! I was a little worried as I have very dry and damaged 4C texture but it truly was not a problem. The attendant took great care and never hurt me while still able to get a true deep clean. The shoulder massage was a personal highlight, but all parts of the experience were so relaxing. Would absolutely recommend!

I had a wonderful treatment today. We did the couples 90 minute treatment. I have never been more relaxed in my life. The spa is clean and the massage and head treatment was perfect. Today’s treatment was better than massages I’ve had at the Ritz Carlton. Highly recommend!

Absolutely the best head spa in Lorton, Virginia! I came in feeling stressed with a tight scalp and neck tension, and left completely refreshed and recharged. I chose the deep scalp massage with head spa treatment, and it was exactly what I needed. The therapist started with a relaxing scalp massage, followed by a gentle shampoo and soothing warm towel treatment — the combination felt heavenly. The pressure was perfect, and the therapist was very skilled and attentive to every detail. My head, neck, and shoulders felt so much lighter, and even my sleep improved after just one session. The atmosphere is peaceful and beautifully decorated, and the staff is warm, professional, and welcoming. I’ll definitely be coming back regularly for more treatments!

I did not know what to expect from a “Head Spa” other than what I’ve seen on social media but WOW this was a great experience. I did the 90 minute Royal Treatment and left very pleased with the experience. A little bit of massage, facial, and of course all of the scalp work. Got home and my husband even remarked how relaxed I looked. Will definitely be back!
