Gio & Gio New concept salon Pacific Beach

Joseph has done both my cut and color beautifully. Typically it takes me a long time to find a stylist I can trust, so I first got a hair cut (layers) with curtain bangs, and loved how he seriously he took the look I wanted - we talked about Color and I just knew I could trust him to dye my hair. So I came in again for partial Balayage and toner - omg I have never looked so good. He also knows how to make you look incredible when you leave with a variety of blow out curls that make you feel and look expensive. I fully trust him and hope he never leaves this salon. The location is perfect to get your errands done (Trader Joe’s is across the street) and/or have a selfcare day and go next door for a Mani Pedi. Gio & Gio’s is my now go to for all things hair.

Terrible stylist, didn't even give me his name, barely did a consult, argued with me, and apparently had never heard of heat protectant despite using such high heat on his dryer he was burning my scalp (didn't turn it down when I told him that). I even asked about heat protectant during the blow dry and he dismissed me.

I went last week and i loved my messy bun!!!! I forgot the name of the woman that did my hair but she was super friendly and did an incredibly good job, exactly what i wanted for my special day :) thank you again!!! also the price was really reasoneable. 10/10 I would go back and recommend this place 100%

OK, so where to start with this review I used to go to Gio and Gio back in Downtown about 8 years ago. It was a phenomenal salon/barbershop and I remember when I moved to San Francisco and I told myself that if I ever come back to San Diego this would be the spot. I moved back to Pacific Beach and to my pleasant surprise, a Gio and Gio in Pacific Beach. I called and spoke to Gio and as I walk in, I remember him and he rememebred me. The facility and the actual shop itself is beautiful, clean, and open. The music is awesome and it’s a total vibe. Not only arethe employees very professional, they are customer focused and just all around good people. I did end up getting my haircut by Angelina and let me tell you…she knows how to do good work. I repeat she does how to do really good work 🔥🔥 S

Very disappointed with my haircut. All I asked was that it be shoulder length. What I got was three inches shorter than that. She turned my chair so I couldn’t see what she was doing in the mirror. I should have objected. Then she pouffed my hair so it stuck out sideways. “I gave you more body”, she said. But I didn’t ask for that or want it. Your stylists need to be trained to listen to their clients’ instructions. I only give two stars because she was friendly, but that’s not what I came for.
