Customer Reviews
Get yourself to Ginko House. I have been going to Misa for years for hair and color and she’s the absolute best! I most recently went to her for an ombré balayage and its perfection — I’ve gotten so many compliments on it! I was so impressed the first time I had an appointment with her at Ginko House and continue to love going there. The space is gorgeous, stylish, and relaxing, and everyone is so nice. Just lovely energy all around, and the complimentary beverage options are great. On my most recent visit I got the best smelling shampoo I've had in ages. I’m a client for the long haul!
I loved it! I met my stylist Braeden a couple years ago. He has moved from place to place, but always has that expertise in hair that I know of. Braeden always knew me from the start when I met them for the first time. He did move to West Seattle 2 years back or so, but moved to the Ginkgo House in 2026.(or 2025, I don't know) They made sure the photo of the cut I wanted come true as much as possible. They are probably the best stylist I know. They were extremely helpful, understanding what I wanted. The place is beautiful, especially with the mural on the wall in the room Braeden washed my hair in. The place is tidy and cozy. I am ABSOLUTELY going back. If I could rate it 10 stars, I would.
Ginkgo House is a beautiful space with warm and welcoming vibes. Misa always treats my curly hair with so much care and expertise. I used to straighten my hair everyday before going to see her and now my curls look so amazing I finally feel confident wearing my natural hair. She is also fantastic at balayages and has kept my hair healthy throughout. Misa is thoughtful, intentional, and never rushed. It’s clear she is highly skilled and passionate about curly hair.
I’ve been looking for a new curly stylist for the last few years. I’ve been bopping around different salons that claim “we all know how to cut curly hair” to “curl specialists” and more. I’ve gotten everything from decent trims, crazy short cuts (curls popping but way shorter than I wanted) to someone literally cutting my curls wet (please god no). What I really liked about Gingko salon and Braeden: clear mission, pricing and expectation setting from the get go. I knew what I was walking into and was blown away when I actually got to the salon. The salon is located in West Seattle and Braeden has the most lovely waves and curls (only two requirements I was looking for). Gingko house is still a bit under construction but it’s gorgeous-moody colors with plants and bright leather. It’s calm
I cannot state enough how great Ginkgo House is. The vibes are immaculate -- playful, modern, chill, and cozy all at once. Its a place that immediately makes you feel comfortable and at home, while simultaneously giving the experience of a high end salon. There wasn't a day that went by in the week following my last visit that I didn't get complimented on my hair. Misa is an absolute wizard, and effortlessly makes the perfect style for her clients. I don't understand how she makes it look as easy as she does. If you have wavy or curly hair and want any kind of color at all, there's no better place or stylist. I seldom (read: never) leave reviews, but I was so amazed by the location, experience, and results that I had to.
