I can’t say enough great things about Tony Barbuto! I’ve had my hair cut and colored at salons in both NYC and SF, and Tony is by far the best stylist I’ve worked with. I’ve been seeing him for years now — I first came to him during Covid after coloring my hair at home, and he somehow worked his magic and completely fixed my crazy color. His highlights and single process always look natural, and his cuts have tons of movement and grow out beautifully. The salon is bright, friendly, and in a great location near cafes, so I can grab an iced coffee and enjoy chatting with Tony while he makes my hair look amazing. I’d give Tony 10 stars if I could!

Tony Barbuto is AMAZING for cuts and color. I met him when he was at a salon in my neighborhood and I followed him when he moved to Ginger Rubio because I love him so much. He’s excellent at executing what you want (great listener) but also is honest if something will not look good. He’s very creative and efficient - he figured out how to highlight my hair without foils while it’s simultaneously being single color processed (photo of how it comes out below) and that’s saved me so much time and money ❤️. The salon itself is also lovely - huge windows with lots of light and everyone is really nice.

Tony Barbuto is fantastic! He's been cutting and coloring my hair for years now and I wouldn't want to go to anyone else. He listens to what you're looking for and is very skilled at beautiful haircuts. And I love the Ginger Rubio salon he's at now--it's bright, airy, and filled with plants. Highly recommend!

Tony Barbuto is so kind, skillful, and lovely to work with. I’ve been seeing him for my haircuts for a few years now, and he has never done anything less than a stellar job on my hair. He is thoughtful in his advice/guidance on what might work best for my thin, fine hair. The space at Ginger Rubio is a cool vibe too, with lots of natural light and an eye-catching mural on the wall.
