When you want to talk about best barbers in San Diego, Larry’s name must be mentioned. This dude is a very personable guy who takes into account all the details. I walk in here looking like Pau Gasol and walk out looking like J balvin. If you want a great cut it’s a no brainer to come here and see Larry.

Before finding Freshly Faded, it felt impossible to get a decent cut in San Diego. Now that I’ve found it, there’s no other place I’d ever go. Derrick (The owner) is a great leader in the community and has a great staff of barbers in this spot. As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted with love, respect and kindness and you’re never just another customer, you’re treated like family. This place has all of the cultural hallmarks that make a Black barbershop an essential part of the Black community. J-Roc will always be my go to guy; seriously, if you ever need a cut that’ll take you from zero to hero then he’s yours too. But honestly, you’re never in bad hands. Atmosphere was super chill, had an appointment with JRoc today and I must say his attention to detail was fire and I left out with a haircut that was extra crispy with the biscuits. Definitely recommend this barber shop, all the barbers have skills

Been coming here since January 2024 when I move to San Diego and instantly connected with JRoc with even friendship outside the barber. With Work second to none he’ll definitely have you right every single time after sitting in his chair.
