Focus Dental Group

I am a newer patient to this dental group and I was refereed to it by a co-worker after my childhood dentist retired (the amazing Dr. Hal G. Pollock). First glance, the building is new and very nice inside (think chandelier, a nice carpet runner on the stairs, and solid wood). Inside the suite, the front desk and dental tech staff seem to be genuinely happy. When being treated, my particular dentist was informative, helpful, and trustworthy for both my first exam and followed by a dental procedure. At my recent routine appointment, I was examined by another colleague in the clinic for my last examination, and felt equally confident that my dental care was of the same quality. We just love the practice. Aurelia was great as my dental assistant and so glad she is going to hygienist school. Megan always does such a thorough job as a hygienist and is very gentle. I know as I am a former hygienist. Dr. Duke was awesome as always. He fixed my chipped teeth and they look fantastic. My husband and I were both in the dental profession and if any of our friends are looking for a practice we refer to Focus Dental. We just referred a friend today!

I don’t typically write negative reviews, which is why it has taken me three years to share this. However, I feel it’s important to speak up because I am still experiencing recurring jaw problems as a result of my visit with Dr. Duke. During the procedure, the tooth being worked on was in the very back of my mouth. I clearly remember Dr. Duke pulling my cheek extremely far and holding my jaw open for an extended period of time. As a dental professional, there should be an awareness of the risks associated with prolonged jaw stretching, including the possibility of dislocation. I am so anxious for dental visits. But, The office staff is super kind. And the hygienists are so amazing. Dr Duke is kind, knowledgeable and understanding. Exhale! You can do this.
