Let me just start out in saying that I come here to get box braids. I’ve come to this shop for a total of 5 to 6 times and I am giving my honest review based on the experience I’ve had thus far. The First time I came was probably the best out of all my appointments. Although I lost some braids (braids slipped out) I typically give grace if the style is cute and I like it. Which was the case my first appointment. My next 2 appointments I actually purchased my own hair and was charged the same price—whatever—I just paid although, being fair, it should’ve been less. However, same thing, I lost braids—the styling was OK but the first girl from my initial appointment really did great!! I came there again after these appointments to get my box braids but opted out of bringing my own hair since i

As someone who’s been trying to grow out their hair I was really disappointed. To start, we agreed on a price and once I arrived they up charged me despite me having proof of the agreed to a price. Then they aggressively blowed out my hair. I watched as my hair fell out of my head wanting to cry seeing strands that took 5 years to grow just laying there in a pile. No heat protection or anything, just ripping at your hair. They didn’t part my hair into sections or either, I was so disappointed . I immediately told them I don’t want my hair falling out and not to braid my edges. I know how difficult braiding is, that’s Why I go to the salon to have it done. But in all honesty in 2025 we shouldn’t be doing traditional box braids, knotless should be the standard. Those tight box braids cause

I found this salon by doing a google search. First time ever in Seattle and I needed my hair fixed immediately. I called to confirm business days and hours and also to verify how the accept payment. When I first arrived I was a little confused because the building says MK hair braiding however It was instantly confirmed to me that I was in the correct spot. The services i received was a take down of my sewn in hair, a hair wash and cornrow braids with boho hair added. All together I was there for 4 hours and I was happy with that time frame and extremely happy with the outcome. I can’t tell you the woman’s name who did my hair (sorry to you ma’am) but she did an amazing job and she moved efficiently! Very satisfied with my service from her and if I’m ever in Seattle again and need my hair

I was able to walk in and get my hair braided quickly by a skilled braider which is rare for me when I travel. She took 1, maybe 2 looks at the picture and copied the style to perfection! I recommend Aicha but I'm sure they are all good

They were punctual and started working on my hair promptly, with two stylists working together to complete the look quickly. I was impressed by their efficiency, attention to detail, and neat work. The end result was stunning! I highly recommend this salon - reliable, fast, and talented stylists. 10/10, would definitely go back!
