I’ll let the photo speak for itself. This is the haircut I received from the stylist Dang. This photo was taken when I arrived at a second salon to have it fixed. I’ve reached out to the salon via their website form but never heard back. UPDATE : I did not receive any communication from the salon until after I left this review. Only then did I receive a call and was accused of treating the salon unfairly. I have returned to the salon for other unrelated services since the haircut and did not have time to stop to address this issue at that time. That was my mistake, I should not have given this salon additional business. Putting the responsibility on clients (see owners response below) to resolve matters of poor service and even worse client relationship management is a good indication

I go to Essence for a haircut and brow shaping, and I am always absolutely blown away by the entire experience! Amazing experience! Getting an appointment was easy and I appreciated that I didn’t have to wait months! The staff, the cute little waiting area “shop” and the outstanding cut and color I received from Dang was amazing. I’m super picky about my fine hair and haven’t always had great cuts, but Dang really understood my hair & did a great job .

Terrible No mercy policy… I just got a new phone, and my appointment did not transfer over to my new phone. I told them this, and that’s why I missed the appointment, but they decided they wanted to charge me full price for missing the appointment I was told they have a no Mercy cancellation policy. So I dutifully paid full price, and I’ve decided that I would like to reciprocate their policy and give my money to another place. And at $47 per men’s haircut, and the fact I usually give a $10 tip every time, it is their loss.
