Drybar - Roslyn Heights

I’ve been a loyal Drybar client for quite some time, and recently I had the pleasure of meeting Usha, who is a newer face at this location. Let me just say, she was absolutely phenomenal. From the moment I sat in her chair, she was warm, personable, and engaging, which made the entire experience so enjoyable. What really impressed me was the way she washed my hair—she took her time, massaging and scrubbing my scalp thoroughly in every direction. It was one of the best washes I’ve ever had at Drybar, and it left my hair and scalp feeling so refreshed. Her blow-dry was just as impressive. Usha styled my hair beautifully—smooth, polished, and with just the right amount of product/volume. I left feeling confident and thrilled with the results. Disappointing. This was my first blow out and I was excited to have my hair look awesome for a wedding that I was attending that evening. I couldn't see her working on my hair because the tv screen blocked my view of the mirror. When it was done I was stunned - it didn't look good at all. I didn't even know what to say, I was so confused. The stylist offered to go back over it with a flat iron, which ultimately looked better - but not better than I could have done myself.

I booked an appointment for Saturday morning very late on Friday evening. I was happy to get an appointment and when I got to the location, it was raining heavily and very hard to locate the door. This is inside a larger building with several gym and other facilities inside. Once you go into the front door, you go up the stairs and the dry bar is in the very back, just look for their yellow signature color. The person who served me was very nice and competent from what I could see. My biggest disappointment was that after I made it to my event (The rain had cleared up by then and the weather was perfect) My curls did not stay up at all. My elderly mother-in-law and I got our hair styled before a wedding. The building was hard to find and the handicapped elevator was more of a dumb waiter but we made it. The staff was amazing!! They really accommodated my MIL, Including helping us with the elevator on the way out. Plus, our styles looked great. Her hair looked thicker than I have ever seen it. I got lots of compliments on my hair.

Had one of the worst experiences here. Unfortunately management is very unprofessional and not communicative. I went it with an appointment last month and was told no one could do my hair because they had call outs due to a medical emergency. I said okay but why wasn't I notified? Response was that " We already texted you at 9am to let you know" I received NO text, instead was insulted, embarrassed and annoyed to say the least. I had a trip late that night so really needed my hair done, the owner offered me to wait 2 hours for the next available associate. She would have to skip her lunch... which should be illegal!! I passed on this, and she said she would give me a free blowout for next time. That didn't happen... i just ended up canceling my membership. Too much back and forth and hones
