Knowing my hair would inevitably turn into a tangled, matted mess that I’d stress over, I decided the most practical choice was to get braids. Dora was initially a little hesitant about my texture (thick Latina hair from my mom—naturally 2b/2c, though I often blow-dry to style), but she gave it a try, and the results were absolutely gorgeous. I received compliments nonstop, from Madison to the playa and back. Dora herself is a joy to work with: professional, warm, efficient (she finished my braids in just two hours), thoughtful, and clear about post-care. I couldn’t recommend her more highly. You never know what you’ll get when you ask for small braids these days but what I got from Dora and her other stylists is what should be the standard! I've been to Dora's twice now. The first time I got small knotless braids and this time I got medium box braids. Both times the parts, braids, and length were exactly what I asked for. The prices are great for the services provided. Dora is very accommodating and made sure I was comfortable the whole time.
