She is the best hair dresser ever I come from Houston to see her I really miss her now that I moved

If you have coily, kinky, long and/or thick hair this is not the salon for you. I have a large head of naturally curly hair and now my curl pattern has changed from 1 trip to this salon. I have had my hair blow dried straight by the owner (Berenice) before in 2016 with no problems but I might have just gotten her on a bad day/ bad week. I tried over 1 week to create an appointment with the salon to discuss things in advance but no luck. I finally was in contact and was told to walk in. I received a wash & blow dry but she used extremely high heat and an old round brush (full of hair) in large sections with my hair to straighten it. I felt like she was rushing to try to finish my hair which caused her to use large sections & high heat to blow dry my hair “quicker”. This technique caused a

I have gone to Berenice for a relaxer and to color my hair. I go every 8 to 10 weeks. No matter where I live, I will always go to her salon. She does amazing work. She is always very patient and does well as relaxing hair without causing damaging. My hair is thriving because of her and retaining length. She clarifies the scalp and deep conditions very well. I got a few highlights last time I went and they are still looking very good. She doesn't make set appointments but if you call ahead she will let you know if and when to come in. I never have a long wait. If I walk in and see she is super busy I go another day. If you want great service and to grow beautiful hair, go to Berenice. My hair will definitely be waist length again if I keep going to her.

First time going, will be coming back again. I only got my hair washed and blow dryer. Mrs. Bernice did an awesome job.

Pleasantly Surprised!! This place is a hidden gem for sure. I walked in and was serviced immediately. The stylists were very kind and patient. They really took time on my hair and cared about what I wanted. I felt like I was back in DR with the girls. I’ll be going back OFTEN. Thank you
