Customer Reviews
These people are the worst. DO NOT book here. The two women argued constantly about how to do my hair in their own language. I told them I wanted my locs changed from c parts to straight parts, and they were extremely rude. Like I already discussed this with them over the phone and on FB. I wanted my parts straight. When she finally agreed to do what I asked her, she complained and sighed the whole time. And then she refused to change the parts on the top. These women do not care about customer service at all. Every remark is taken personally. Their entire attitude from the moment I walked in was rude and belligerent. To make matters worse they made me sit under a hair dryer even though my hair was already dry because "the product can't go in till your hair is dry". Witch it was so dry it
Unsanitary. She’s rough, and my crochets lasted only 2 days. She ripped through my hair when she was combing it. She braided my hair so tight, I had bald spots, and then messed up the crochets so they lasted two days. $300 down the drain.
Awa is the best. Now I have never been to a shop to get braids done so I called to make an appointment.baby when I tell you she is fast and good at what she does my hair is beautiful and I love it. Thank you so much. I will be back
Paid $270 for Goddess Locs and spent 10 hrs getting them done. Only to go home and have them unravel and for my edges to feel like they were ripping out. I returned the next morning and took them out in front of her at her shop. As I was removing them i saw my hair follicles on the beginning portion of the locs and had bald spots. My length of my hair was shorter from all the twisting and pulling. Awa only refunded me $150. I'm filing a small claims case against her. I spent $270 on the service $60 on the hair and 10 hours of my time getting it done and 3 hours the next day removing it. That is not fair and it is wrong. I care about healthy hair and they people at this shop could care less.. Do not go here
I've gotten my hair braided by Awa once. She was professional and offered me a free braid removal because she was running late with another client, which caused my appointment to be pushed back 2 hours. The braids were not as good as other micros I have received in the past. The pricing is equivalent to what you would typically pay for micros.
