I stumbled upon Al as I was looking for a new Tuina masseuse. For those that aren’t familiar with this it is a traditional Chinese medicine technique and style of massage that does use elbows forearms etc. His approach incorporates this style as well as other massage techniques. I cannot sing enough praises about Al’s skill and thoroughness while giving a massage. He builds up the pressure and will customize the time you book for his services. If you are looking for a bougie, highly curated and high rent commercial spa, this is not for you. That being said, if you want someone to do incredible bodywork for you at an extremely reasonably price for what you receive do not miss out on his services. He extremely intuitive and also accommodating to preferences. He I incorporates hot stones and

My wife has been coming here for a couple years and loves the massages every single time. I have wanted to book an appointment for a long time but my work schedule is busy. Well today for my birthday, my wife surprised me with a massage and it was the best massage I have ever gotten, hands down, no exaggeration. Al is very nice and really knows what he’s doing. His technique is a mixture of massage, stretching and kinesiology. He knows the anatomy and body mechanics and that comes across in the massage. I came off that table feeling at least five years younger. He helped with my sciatica and my tennis elbow and lower back pain. I 100% recommend Al. Thank you so much, Al! What an awesome experience.

DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS. Hidden gem, for sure. I asked to focus on upper back pain and he delivered. Slowly builds up the pressure you need and adjusts well to your requests and responses. Hot stones were included and that was lovely. Very simple set up with soft spa-theme music playing in the background, and it has a warming bed with soft covers. What this place lacks in aesthetic makes up twice as much in technique. I'm coming back as a regular! Right on the corner of Shattuck and Ashby, this spot shares the building with a tattoo shop called Magnetic Arts. There's no signage, so just look for 2106. Cash preferred, but he has Venmo! He does ask for a tip at the end, and this may likely be due to how affordable the service is. Really nice guy!

So this is classic example of "you get what you pay for". I found this place and it was the cheapest massage around at 55 bucks an hour. However, when I got there the space is just a long, narrow side room off a main office building where the guy seemed to be potentially living in there and maybe even sleeping on the massage table. He had food and clothes and a bunch of stuff strewn across the area, and it seemed very unprofessional. The massage table smelled like sweat and balls, and it was very unpleasant to have my face on the headrest with it smelling like that the whole time. The massage was also absolutely horrible, he didn't seem like he had any actual massage therapy training. He just used his elbow the whole time with no warm-up, and I was left with major bruises (and I normally

That was the worst massage I've ever had. I went on Friday night(1/6/23). The location is right next to a tattoo shop. Throughout my massage I could hear the music and people inside the tattoo shop. There was a woman(I'm going to assume she works there.) She was not quiet at all. She dropped a cup and I could also hear her movements throughout the massage. The massage was going alright until he started using his elbow. The entire massage felt as if the guy didn't know what he was doing. He only massaged my back and pain began immediately. You could tell I was uncomfortable and was moving away. That's when he would stop with the pressure and start back. I was on time and the massage started at 620 pm. It did not last for 1 hour. He stopped when there was ten minutes left. And five minutes
