I was in town for the day and needed a clean up. Found this place and met Stoney and the gang. Only had to wait about 15 minutes before I got in the chair. Juan was my barber. I asked for a tight fade with a dark top. That is basically what I got and was decently satisfied with the results. With that being said, I was not satisfied with the haircut process itself. Juan's technique was jabby and harsh. I often felt the clippers hit directly against my skin before trimming, leaving rough patches of bluntly cut hair and was abrasive on my skin. He trimmed under my neck without much care causing bad razor burn and uneven texture. My hair is fairly soft and I have had really smooth fades but this fade turned out choppier likely due to the quick flick technique he used. I had the opportunity to
Walked in today for a haircut, no appointment. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the place has a lovely neighborhood feel, with locals popping in and out just to say hi. There was a bit of a line, but it moved very quickly. I keep my hair longer than most men, so am always cautious at a new barber. The barber here was extremely thorough and maticulous, and took his time giving me the perfect cut. This was by far the most attention I ever got at a barbershop. At 30$ it was much cheaper than much worse cuts I got at "trendier" shops. Would come here again for all my future cuts!
I've been to 5 different barbers in the area and this is the best looking haircut with the friendliest staff, with competitive prices. My only nit is that I wish they were more proactive about communicating to waiting customers where they are in the queue, but I'd still highly recommend!
[My barber was not Stoney, who seems to be the favorite in these reviews, so if you go try with Stoney (I should have)] I'm gonna start copying a past review as it describes my experience perfectly: "Incredibly friendly and super warm barber. He unfortunately was very distracted and took him nearly 40 minutes to finish — and in the end missed what I had asked for" (he was texting, taking calls, catching up with people outside). My haircut is so bad I'm gonna have to wear a cap for the next month haha Men's haircut is $30.
really nice good hearted group, got it exactly how i liked it and kept asking me feedback, to make sure he was doing it well :)
