I visited Cosmo Prof in Wayne, NJ (23 Unit B) looking for hair dyes. The girl who assisted us was very kind and helped us find the color we needed, which we appreciated. However, when it came time to pay, the manager and cashier refused to complete the purchase, claiming we didn’t have a physical ID, even though we have cosmetology licenses as students and future professionals. It’s important to note that in New Jersey, showing a physical ID is not required. We even showed them photos of our ID and explained our situation, but they still refused service. This was very frustrating, considering we spent over an hour searching for the products and planned to purchase only four items. Additionally, the employees’ attitude was unprofessional: they spoke to us rudely and offered no solution. L

I was shocked and offended by the way I was treated at this store. I arrived before closing time, was already inside, and had products in hand ready to purchase. When I approached the cashier, she asked if I had an account. I explained that I have one with Salon Centric, who recommended this store to me, and I even offered to show my license. Instead of assisting me, she very rudely said, “Lady, we’re closed, you need to leave,” and then opened the door to push me out. This was completely unacceptable. I was inside before closing, I was a paying customer, and yet I was thrown out in a disrespectful and humiliating way. No customer should ever be treated like this. Very bad experience at Cosmo Prof – Wayne, NJ (23 Unit B) My experience at Cosmo Prof in Wayne, NJ was extremely frustrating and disappointing. We went in to purchase hair color products and, at first, the associate who helped us was kind and assisted us in finding the shade we needed. Unfortunately, that was the only positive part of the visit. When it was time to pay, the manager and the cashier refused to complete the purchase because we did not have the physical ID with us, completely ignoring the fact that we are cosmetology students and professionals in training with a valid license, and that in New Jersey it is NOT mandatory to present a physical ID. We even showed clear photos of the license and calmly explained our situation, but they still refused to help us in any way. What m

If you want to waste your time and money this is the place for you. Not only do they not sell to the public being on a public street on a main high. Never will I ever come to this store even tho the lady was super helpful and knew everything about every product. I was just not pleased to be rejected at the door.

They have a lot to offer, only problem is you have to be a licensed professional to purchase here. I was told if I knew one, I could come with them & have them show their credentials. Well, I don't so pretty much counts me out. They're located on a major highway in a small strip mall, right by a traffic light, so is easily noticed as you sit in traffic, am sure they have people like me coming in all of the time that they turn away, lots of lost $ in my opinion. Why not sell to the public, just at a higher price if not licensed ?
