This business fell from heaven. The staff are so heavenly. I went there when that woman had her hair braided and was dismissed from Marriott for the braids. I'm so proud of my sistah's and brother's for all of the support we all gave to this business. I can truly say, as a registered member of the New Black Panther Party. Black Power family.

Is this place still open? I was a client in the late 80s to early 90s. Pamela gave me a consultation and blow dried my hair. I had various stylists braid my hair and was always pleased. Three years ago I called and she said she was retiring and referred me to some place on Kenyon. This place was nowhere near the same caliber and I walked right out. Im puzzled to see reviews on here when I thought they had closed.

Despite multiple prior communication with the owner (with whom in the past I have had good experiences) about the specific style I traveled an hour for, I left with basic cornrows which I very much disliked. I was told only after arriving that there was no one available to do anything more intricate, even something as simple as zig zag cornrows. Despite multiple complaints and even follow up calls to the owner, I was still charged the same price and had to wait 4-5 hours for the total service. Exhausting physically and mentally.

Very informative site woth great hair products. The lady really knows about African American hair and how to care for it and especially how to reverse hair loss caused by certain conditions.
