I visited on a busy Saturday in December. The salon was clean and welcoming and everyone on staff was pleasant. It’s a busy salon so many people pitch in - I had one person wash my hair, another rinse, another blow dry and take me to my stylist, Koren. This is a factor is you dislike the team approach and are inclined to tip everyone who works on your head. It was busy so it took nearly 90 minutes from my arrival to make it to my stylist’s chair. This included a 30-minute heat/moisturizing treatment I did not request or book. I was instructed to sit under the dryer and I did, but after the heater’s timer went off I felt like I was just parked there while they caught up with the people ahead of me. I’ve been a quarterly client at Cole Stevens Salon for color services, and after a decent last appointment, I was starting to trust my stylist. I booked a follow-up two weeks later for a $115 trim and finish. During the appointment, my stylist asked if I wanted a wet or dry trim. She explained that since I wear wash-and-go styles, a wet trim would work best. Given my varying curl pattern and density I agreed. She then styled my hair in a wash-and-go using Moroccan Oil leave-in curl cream and The Doux mousse from Target. After 45 minutes under the dryer plus diffusing, my hair had a white cast. I had such an amazing experience at Cole Stevens Salon! 1. Mrs. Diane is so knowledgeable about hair and your specific hair type 2. The shop is beautiful and clean 3. The staff is amazing I was telling one of my friends, everyone who came in the shop has long hair! I cannot wait to return :) I definitely enjoyed my service—loved my blowout, and I cannot wait to reach my hair goals!

If I could give my experience with Zewdi and Alexia with Cole Stevens Salon a thousand stars I would. I found them online and booked an appointment with them, praying for a miracle because I couldn’t find anyone else to help me with my hair. I had a big photoshoot in 2 hours and they came through for me and exceeded all my expectations. I left the chair in tears because of how grateful I am for them pivoting and working with me finding the best style for my hair. I would definitely recommend this salon to anyone and when I come back to DC I will definitely be back! My hair turned out amazing and I received so many compliments. I came in feeling defeated/anxious wondering if someone could help me and I left feeling so beautiful.

After years of searching for a hair salon in DC, I've finally found one that I can call home. 4/22/25 was my first visit and it definitely won't be the last! From the moment I walked in, I knew my hair was in great hands. Paris is my stylist but honestly, after watching how everyone is commuter to care, I'd trust any of the stylists with my strands. The salon is clean, the stylists are friendly and the level of professionalism while catering to each specific client is amazing. I HIGHLY recommend this Cole Steven's for any hair needs!
