I am a Georgia resident visiting family in Southfield. I went to Cherry and purchased a purse, earrings, a necklace and a bracelet. I ended up not needing nor wearing any of the items. So, I went to exchange, NOT return for a refund. I was first told that the purse was a final sale because people wear things and bring them back. I took it on the chin although the tag and stuffing were in place. I pulled out the jewelry, still in its packaging and tagged and was denied an exchange as well. I decided to wear the jewelry today... The bracelet broke before I could even get it on my wrist. I will NEVER shop with Cherry again as I see they only want OUR money, and don't care about providing quality customer service to OUR COMMUNITY. I’ve been coming to this beauty supply since 2015, back when I was in cosmetology school in Royal Oak. This last visit really changed how I feel about this place. I asked to see two necklaces one 16” and one 18” and the lady took both from the locked compartment and handed them to me to compare. When I asked if I could unclasp them to see how they fell around my neck, she flat out said no. That response caught me off guard because if I wanted to run off, she had already placed both in my hands. I didn’t even get the chance to offer my ID or find another solution it was just an instant refusal and attitude. She told me, “They’re 16 and 18 inch,” as if I didn’t already know. The older Asian lady is very rude. I purchased the wrapper by color pony tail, she refused to allow an even exchange. She snatched the receipt from the younger thin Asian male employee with glasses. He was very pleasant. She threw my ponytail in my bag and punched the bag back to me. She yelled, it was a sales. No exchanges. I am a faithful customer at this location. I wasn’t trying to get a refund just the correct color. She yelled, NO, and began yelling at the male employee. I will not shop there again.

On 10/25/25 I made a purchase and it was debited from my bank account and my credit card on the same day. When I went up there (10/29/25) trying to explain what happened the female cashier was so rude to me. I’ve been a customer for so long with them but the way I was treated made me feel like I was trying to scam them. Cherry Beauty Supply you’ve lost a long time customer by the way you treated me. I hope you have better employee etiquette on dealing with the public. Signed a disappointed customer!
