Walking into Carmel Nail Bar with my wife was the start of what turned into one of the best self-care experiences we’ve had in a long time. From the moment we stepped through the door, the atmosphere set the tone clean, modern, and relaxing, yet still lively enough to feel like a special outing instead of just a routine appointment. I literally cannot recommend this place enough. I've been coming here every 3-4 weeks for the past 8+ months and their service is always amazing. Katie is the QUEEN at Gel-X nails and Lisa both gives the best pedicure and does AMAZING nail art. I live in Monterey and will always come here for all pedicures and manicures. I brought my 5 year old here for her birthday and she had the best time. They have a kid's chair and her nail and toe polish lasted more than 2 weeks. 2 weeks on an active 5 year old - I would have been happy with 4 days!! This place is definitely the best.

I wanted to love this place. The place is nice, but the quality of my pedicure was mediocre. I got the basic pedicure for $50 +tip. you’d expect that your nails will look professionally done afterwards. Well, Katie didn’t care to push cuticles back and simply painted over them. Also she left me to jump to take care of two walk-ins promising to apply a top coat after my nails dry. She totally forgot about me for 30 min. And I didn’t get the top coat… really disappointed!

How my toes look 7 weeks post-pedicure! (Regular polish, NOT gel) My mom and I came here to get pedicures right before I gave birth - we paid $10 extra to get this ‘premium’ nail polish they said would last longer than regular polish - and 7 weeks later I can’t believe how good my toes still look! Would 100% recommend this salon and paying a little bit extra for the premium polish. 👍🏼 (we paid about $50 each and the pedicure had a good massage too)

Lovely owner and wonderful staff! They’re such perfectionists and have done such a good job each time I’ve been! They give the best pedicures I’ve ever had and the store is super nice and tidy.
