Jake is the absolute man. Ever since the first cut he’s been the go to. Totally understands the vision and is super receptive to feedback. Cuts look good out the door, and grow out well too. I don’t know how he does it every time. Real talent. Great guy, fantastic cuts.

Lara is amazing! I’ve been coming to her for over a year and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Perfect for mens cuts. Her attention to detail is exceptional and she is wonderful about helping you figure out what kind of hairstyle you are trying to achieve. She’s also great about helping you understand what haircuts work for your hair type. I’m very picky and I always leave happy. She’s worth every penny. She’s the best!

Staff was great 10/10. However, I booked a haircut with Ben, spent $100 + 15 tip to be kind. He spent around 20 mins on my haircut, hardly cleaned me up afterwards, and didn’t show me the back of my hair. The cut was much shorter than I was expecting and didn’t look anything like my reference photo. Poor service and communication on his end. I’d go again but would avoid booking with Ben.

I’ve been getting my hair cut here by Jake Butler for nearly five years, and he is an excellent and talented barber who consistently pays close attention to detail—I always leave looking fresh and at my best. Jake is professional, friendly, and genuinely cares about his clients; at this point, I consider him more than just my barber, he’s a friend. California Born Salon is a great shop with an awesome atmosphere and vibe—very aesthetic, well-designed, and comfortable. They even have a top-notch espresso machine and always start my cut with a great espresso. The salon also carries a great selection of high-quality products, and I’ve been using their Paste for years. Highly recommend!

Jake Butler is a fantastic stylist & i’ve gotten so many compliments on my hair every time i’ve gone to him. He always nails the look and style you’re trying to go for and is an overall great person. 10/10 recommend every time!
